Leon Supercup’ set for Ireland

Ireland has secured an exciting new championship with the announcement of the ‘Leon Supercup Ireland’. The one-make championship will feature Seat Sport’s 301bhp Leon Supercopa touring car and consist of 10 rounds at Mondello Park and Northern Ireland’s Kirkistown and Bishopscourt circuits. Falling entry levels force Rallycross cancellation

Mondello Park reluctantly cancelled this weekend’s second round of the 2015 Irish Rallycross Championship due to on-going low entry levels. The British Championship round in June has not been affected, while the remaining 2015 Irish Rallycross Championship events at Mondello Park will run subject to sufficient entries being received. Training for senior officials

A senior officials’ (Clerk of the Course, Steward & Safety Officer) licence training course covering Race, Kart, Hillclimb and Rallycross will take place on March 3 from 7pm-10pm, at Motorsport Ireland, 34 Dawson Street, Dublin 2. Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm. If you wish to attend, please email info@motorsportireland.com to reserve a place, or fax: 01-6710793. Please note that attendance is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.

Yearbook amendments and event updates

The Motor Sport Commission has decided to continue the suspension of the requirement to have a log book for competing cars in Motorsport Ireland Race events with immediate effect, Click here for full details, and for further Yearbook amendments and information on changes to event dates.
