Doherty still leading, but guess what, Declan Boyle fastest on SS7
Eddie Doherty has increased the lead to 12.7s from Michael Boyle, but the news here is that top seed, Declan Boyle has taken 3.6s from Michael, and 0.9s from the leader. At this rate, 2nd & 3rd look almost certain to swap either on SS8 or 9, the gap is only 2.0s. I can’t see Gary Kiernan on the time screen, can only think that lying water after the earlier rain may have out a halt to his rally, either that or mechanical, we’ll try find out. Daniel Cronin is 4th with a decent gap back to Matthew Boyle i9n 5th. Gary Kiernan seems to have gone off the timesheet on this stage, mechanical or structural, we’ll try find out. This has allowed Shane Quinn and Aidan Wray to move ahead of James Stafford, 6th, 7th & 8th for this trio, with Casey Jay Coleman now in 9th and Andrew Purcell moving into the top 10.
