*** THE 2023 WEXFORD VOLKSWAGEN STAGES RALLY***

Wexford Motor Club are Delighted to announce details of the 2023 Wexford Volkswagen Stages Rally which we will be held on 9/10 September 2023. 

Again, featuring a full 18 stages, the 2 day event aims to offer some of the best value stage mileage of the year with an entry fee of €1,170. Entries open at 10am Monday 17th July.

With new COC Graham Scallan at the helm, the event will return to its traditional Wexford Town base with HQ in the Riverbank House Hotel and a Ceremonial Start on Friday 8th September in Wexford Town Centre. The rally is once again kindly sponsored by Wexford Volkswagen.

We have listened to the feedback from last year’s successful event and aim to provide an even better event for 2023. With the stages closer together this year, a 2 pass Recce of all stages is easily doable on the Friday for anyone looking to minimise time away. By having the service area in Wexford on Sunday close to the rally finish, we hope to make it easier on service crews. 

The Club have aimed to give even more value to Junior competitors, offering 9 stages on Sunday for €670. This can be reduced to €570 if both crew members marshal on the Saturday. Our Historic competitors will do all 18 stages of the Rally.

Utilising a 3×3 loop on each day, Saturdays stages will be based in the general New Ross area with Sunday’s in the general Wexford area. Both days will feature hard surface service areas, in O’Brien Cement on Saturday and Wexford Racecourse on Sunday.

The route has been picked with competitors in mind, maximising competitive mileage, minimising the number of chicanes and keeping road mileage as low as possible. 

Being a clubman focused event, run by competitors,  we are focused on providing value for money and making life easier. Therefore, we are continuing the option to pay off your entry fee in installments on wexfordmotorclub.ie and also retaining the popular ‘provide a marshal for a guaranteed entry’ scheme.
