McVeigh now leads after SS7
The rally now has its third leader since this morning, Paddy McVeigh has now taken up the mantle of leader having set a scorching time on the 3rd run on the Oldcourt test. He has now done this stage almost a full minute quicker than his first visit to the roads just west of Adamstown. Steve Wood is still there or there abouts following in the wheel tracks of the roughly similar Subaru. Enda O’Brien is holding station in 3rd ahead of Gary Kiernan and Adrian Hetherington. Kevin Barrett has fallen over a minute behind Hetherington, with 24″ to spare from Michael Conlon, who in turn has 14″ to spare from Tomas Davies. Only 4″ behind Davies Patrick McHugh is waiting to pounce in the last two stages of the day with Richard Moore finishing out the top 10. Behind this, Simon Reid and Graham Scallan are still locked in their battle to push the cars in front to get into the top 10.
