Cronin leads overnight, but Coleman definitely charging with a possible 4th in sight
Day one is finished for the top end of the field and the rest of the surviving cars are on either SS8 or 9. The overnight story is that Daniel Cronin is the overnight leader, not that at the start of SS6, he thought he would be. he is just over 12 seconds ahead of Ryan McHugh, who in turn is almost 23 seconds ahead of John Warren. These three are a fair way ahead of the cars from 4th down, so with the re-seed overnight, will be the cars that are less likely to get any hold up from slower cars as they try cement these positions overnight. Jack Brennan is in 5th, 9 seconds behind Simon Reid, who is slightly faster than Brennan on SS9, but with Casey Jay Coleman Rallying only 19.4sec behind Reid in 4th, it would be a likely scenario of Coleman getting back to 4th after SS10 in the morning. This is definitely the battle to watch. James Bradley, leading Wexford driver, Steve Wood, Adrian Hetherington and Brian Bolger round out the top 10. Previously we thought that Bobby Hennessey would get into the top 10 by virtue of overtaking Stewart Morrison, which he did, only for Brian Bolger to steal the march on both of them.
