All cars into 1st service, Daniel Cronin leading by just around 5″
We seem to have all cars still running after the 1st loop into service now, so we can bring the bigger picture to you with a relative degree of certainty, that’s if there is such a thing in rallying!! Daniel Cronin and James Stafford have swapped fastest stage times on the opening three tests with Cronin taking the head to head on a score of two to one, Stafford fastest through SS2.
Neither of these two are getting ahead of the rest of the field by any great margain let it be said, there is only a 25.5″ spread over the top 5 drivers. 5.8″ separates Cronin and Stafford with 6.4″ the gap back to McSweeney in 3rd. Tommy Doyle is only 1.4″ back in 4th, he has 11.9″ to spare over Gary Kiernan in 5th.
The next five cars in turn, Daniel Barry, Stuart D’arcy, Andrew Purcell, Enda O’Brien and Richard Moore are only covering a total gap of 27.7″ so we are in for a good battle. The cars seem to be just going into SS4, more news in the next ten minutes hopefully.
