Wood leads overnight
Steve Wood is our overnight leader and hoping not to put a jinx on him, he would very very odds on for the hat trick, don’t rush out to the bookies to put a few bob on him, you would win almost nothing. Meirion Evans is growing into the rally and the Hyundai i20 as the rally goes on, even taking 5″ out of our rally leader. It is an all Welsh top 3 with john Dalton leap frogging Gary Kiernan suffering a slight mechanical fault on the last stage allowing Dalton to take about 30″ out of him to overtake him in the standings. From 3rd to 10th, it is almost totally Mk2 territory with Kiernan, Frank Kelly, Wesley Patterson, Paul Rowley (the Fiesta in the Mk2 pack), Tomas Davies, Richard Moore and Patrick McHugh rounding out the top 10, Moore being the top local man. Richard Cleary, Leon Galvin and James Bradly are in 11th, 13th and 15th respectively, not a bad day on the local front.
All go now to get the remaining cars ready for the six stages in the morning,what happens with weatrher something like today forecast, if we had a crystal ball to predict exactly everything, we could write the final report now.
