Stafford tightening the grip After SS12
With three stages to go in the rally, James Stafford is edging that little bit closer to his third win of the Wexford rally. He took almost 14″ out of Stephen McCann on the second pass through Quitchery, no overshoot mistake like on the first attempt. Richie Moore is also putting the squeeze on McCann as he came within a whisker of matching Stafford’s time and the gap is now down to 27″ for the second spot on the podium. this maybe the battle to watch out for in the next short while. The rest of the top 10 is staying as is but John Reddington is putting pressure on Darren O’Brien, so watch this one as well. The stages are extremely sunny and dry at the moment, a perfect September day to do a bit of high speed tourism of the back roads of Co. Wexford.
