Doherty extends his lead after SS3
Kilkenny man, and Wexford MC member, Eddie Doherty is pressing all the right buttons, especially the one under his right foot. He has taken another 0.3s out of Michael Boyle on the stage , his lead is now 2.6s. Defending champion Declan Boyle, is now past Daniel Cronin into 3rd, but 13.6s behind his son. It is looking like he’ll have to find something from somewhere to retain his title from last year.Gary Kiernan has moved ahead of James Stafford into n5th, albeit by the slimmest bargain possible, 0.1s. Stafford has seemed to steady the ship a little despite the drop of one place, he was only just under 10s slower than Doherty on the stage, but more importantly, nearly 3s quicker than Cronin. Mathew Boyle is starting to settle in nicely, joint 4th fastest time on the stage and probably getting a little bit too close to Stafford for his liking. Shane Quinn, Aidan Wray and Casey Jay Coleman round out the top 10.
