Doherty ain’t giving up
Did we speak too soon about the winner maybe being decided, maybe we did, Doherty has taken 3s out of Boyle on SS16 and the gap is down to 3s. Daniel Cronin is almost nailed on for 3rd, as is Matthew Boyle for 4th. Behind that is a corker of a tussle, Shane Quinn has moved ahead of Aidan Wray, but the gap is only 0.2s, if there wasn’t electronic timing, how would you separate these two? Casey Jay Coleman and Andrew Purcell just have to keep it between the ditches for the last two stages, made easier now by a bit of sunshine to dry the roads a bit, but the battle between Cal McCarthy and James Stafford, is going down to the wire, McCarthy has leapfrogged Stafford, with a gap of 3.7s between the two.
