The lead changes hands
Michael Boyle has posted the fastest time through SS10, he was 2.8s quicker than Eddie Doherty, turning a 1s deficit into a 1.8s lead. While defending champion Declan Boyle was nearly matching Doherty, he is 12.7s behind the new 2nd place man, and would have to do a lot of work to improve on the bottom place on the podium. Daniel Cronin sits in 4th, but lost 2.3s to Matthew Boyle in 5th. Aidan Wray has pulled a further 1.3s clear of Shane Quinn in 6th and 7th respectively, but the big new behind them is that James Stafford has not had a good SS10, he dropped 44s compared to Casey Jay Coleman on the stage, and Coleman overtook him on the stage as they got towards Coolseskin towards the end of the stage. Stafford’s top speed was not would be expected from the Darrian, one wonders if something mechanical is up here. Andrew Purcell also got past Safford on the timesheet, moving up to 9th, with Stafford holding on to his spot in the top 10, for now!!
