James takes six second lead

David James has increased his lead a the top of the leaderboard of the Courtown Hotel Single Stage Rally by four seconds, giving him a six second advantage over Terrance Taggart, brother of last year's Lighthouse Single Stage Rally winner, Martin Taggart.

The top ten all improved their stage times over the second timed run of the course, as rain gradually took care of the icy conditions that greeted the drivers this morning.

A remarkable feature of the leaderboard is that the Escort dominance continues, with nine of the top ten piloting the Ford model.
