Welshman Melvyn Evans is in ebullient form after the opening day's action at the Talbot Hotel Wexford Rally.
Early provisional results put Evans as leader, but they look likely to be rectified, as both ourselves, and on-course reporters Brian and Liz Patterson actually have Eamonn Boland in front.
Evans, and navigator Martin Henry, have clawed themselves slowly up the leaderboard, and whether they're ahead or not, they're firmly in with a great chance of victory.
John Dier grabbed Evans live on South East Radio tonight, and gave him the following grilling....
