PJ McGrath is now driving in safe mode, he is doing enough to keep a decent gap between himself and David James. David is allowing that is better to settle for second, and probably one of the best local one-two finishes in years. Damien Tourish is smiling as wide as Donegal Bay knowing that third is his unless there is some mistake on the last tour of the Forth Mtn and Cleariestown stages.

Damien Tourish is more than pleased with his third placing, the young Donegal man never expecting to be in the lofty position he finds himself in. He did tell us that the tarmac is bumpier here than near home and makes it an interesting event.

Owen Murphy has swapped places with Wesley Patterson for the first two places behind the podium trio and a very fast Charging Neil Williams has made his way back into the top ten and looks like he may be the first overseas driver home. Washinton James, Mark kennedy, Brendan Comiskey and Tommy Doyle complete the top 10, although Alan Boggan is breathing down his neck.
