Is it over before lunch? McGrath hold on to the gap

The mini scare that happened for about 10 seconds, David James coming through the gate of service before PJ, was quickly allayed when it turned out that PJ had just stopped to take of the helmet and do the hair!! He is very happy now that he has the cushion over the Gorey man and told us that he will probably turn it down a percent or two to look after the car. David reckons the chase was in vain from early this morning.
Damien Tourish is more than pleased with his third placing, the young Donegal man never expecting to be in the lofty position he finds himself in. He did tell us that the tarmac is bumpier here than near home and makes it an interesting event.
Wesley Patterson, Owen Murphy and a fast charging Mark Kennedy are making a decent scrap of it in the sunshine, the latter making brilliant use of the local knowledge, all within 20km of his house. Comisky, James and Doyle are still holding their places from 7th to 9th, with Alan Boggan now opening a small gap clear of Alan Carmichael for outright 10th spot.
World junior rally second place man, Shaun Gallagher, is really having fun in the C2R2, getting in road time before the Catalunya event, really loving the Wexford stages.
