Just as a way of showinghow marshals are going to be for Rally Ireland, and every rally in the country for that matter, we are posting this little bit by Gary Nolan. Read it and turn up this Tuesday night if you can.

Every rally driver in the land, from Eugene Donnelly to Austin McHale, from Eamon Boland to Andrew Nesbitt will all have different opinions on their rallying, from the tyres they use to the suspension settings they run. However, there is one thing that all rally competitors up and down the country will agree on, that is that events could no be runs without the help of the hundreds of marshals across the land who give up their free time weekend after weekend to let us lunatics have our fun on the stages!
Like us all, they do it for the love of the sport and this November, many of these marshals will come face to face with the likes of Sebastian Loeb and Petter Solberg, and maybe even Colin McRae as the world rally championship comes to Ireland for the first time when Rally Ireland takes place on the first weekend in November. However, this event is a massive undertaking and as with all motorsport events in Ireland, safety is paramount. So for rally Ireland, all marshals will have to be signed up to a registrar, and this will be available at the Riverbank House Hotel when the Wexford Motor club and the Wexford marshals club hold their monthly meetings on Tuesday, the 10th of July.
As well as this, details are being released as to how some lucky marshals will get a first hand opportunity to see what it’s like from the co-drivers seat as details of a draw that will be taking place at the Wexford Motor Club Sprint on the 14th and 15th of July will be made known, where marshals will be selected for a seat aboard a rally car on the 2007 Riverbank House Hotel Dick Bailey stages rally. So all are welcome to come along to the Riverbank house hotel on July 10th to see what really makes the stages happen.
