eamon boland responded to the time loss on the last loop of stages by taking 1" out of Noel Redmond as the cars reach half way in today's proceedings. With just 4 stages to go, the pendulum is swinging in the favour of the NVD backed Focus. But then, with the cars now heading out on stages that they have not touched yet today, anything could happen

PJ McGrath is almost definitely assured of third place with David James having too much to do to catch PJ, a puncture the only likely thing to rob the New Ross man. The afore mentioned ailment afflicted George Cullen, who has now dropped behind the Charging Willie Whitty. Five local drivers taking the top 5 places, now that is a first!!

Neil Wiliams, Tomas O'Rourke and John Price are still seperated by only 25" for 7th to 9th with Eoin Doyle making his way back in to the top 10 for the first time since yesterday. watch this space to see what happens in the last 4 stages, we are in for a humdinnger!!!
