Eamon boland has increased his lead by 2" after SS5. the cars are just having their final service break of the day and Eamon seemed happy with the way the car is behaving. Noel Redmond admitted that Eamon gained a 3" advantage on him on SS4, but took 1" back on Boland on SS5. He also reckons that he could reduce the deficit on the last run of the Crossabeg test this evening.

The battle further back between McGrath and James seems to be holding station, with reletively similar times over the last two tests. Jim Crowe, James' navigator, has even gone as far as to say that today is the first time this year he has heard his pilot admit a mistake when david admitted he had boo-booed by stalling twice on the start on one of this mornings stages.

The earlier news of the demise of John Somers has been corrected, he put the car on it's roof earlier in the day, but found a novel way to get back in the rally, put the wheels on the roof instead!!! Only joking John, keep her on her wheels for the rest of the rally.
