Eamon Boland has eaked out a few more seconds from Noel Redmond over stages 2 & 3. While Eamon is happy with the way the car is handling, Noel reckons that the Subaru, driven to victory by Stephen Murpphy in last year's event, can be made quicker. The back end of the car seems a little loose and hopes this long service break will cure that. PJ McGrath is well happy in third place and feels that the two cars in front can be kept in his sights.
David james seems to have made the battle for fourth his own, having shaken off the close battle that was going on after SS1. Caroline Price is still remaining in cheerfull spirits, despite saying that the rally is still going "crap" for herself and John!!!
