Michael Roche, in a Delta, has won both days competition in the Wexford MC hillclimb weekend in Fethard on Sea, Co. Wexford. Saturday's run is round 1 of the national hillclimb championship, with Sunday's run being a non national championship event

On both days hed had over 5 seconds advantage from Peter Dwyer, also in a Delta. When a few people thought that the cooler conditions on Sunday would slow the times, Roche managed to rubbish that thought, taking almost a half second off his best time from Saturday. In both cases he also posted his best times in the second half of the day, possibly when the road temperature was at or near it's peak.

John Mahon, Andy Kittle and Michael Melia made up the rest of the top 5 on Saturday, with Mahon, David James and Kittle finishing up the top 5 on Sunday
