The big news here from the website office is that Eamon Boland has withdrawn his entry. We will now miss out on the long awaited dual between the two six-timers in the field. It will now possibly fall to Wexford man Noel Redmond, to issue the main challange to the Milltown Engineering Subaru. As the two cars are not to disimilar, there could be a battle between the two of them.
Eddie Kinirons will now move up to the possible podium position on the grid in his Toyota, is it possible that we could have apossible non Subaru or Ford winner since Geoff Kitney's little Darrian in 1990. Damien Cole is the first of our oversees visitors in the Hyundai, with another Subaru of PJ McGrath flying the Wexford colours in fifth place.
Gabriel Martin is next in another locally piloted Subaru, with seventh on the start line taken by Mark Courtney in the second Toyota on the start line. Subaru dealer, Eddie Garry, takes eight on the grid. No need to guess what he will be driving for the weekend!!!
The top ten is rounded off with the very interesting duel between Gorey's David James and Kilkenny's James Coleman in the first of the two wheel drive fleet in Escorts. Expect a battle royal here. The weather today may have a big say in the proceedings as the rain of the last few days is still with us for some of the day, although not in the same quantities as the last few days. Tomorrow is meant to be the better day, so lets see what or who will be first under the winners banner tomorrow evening.
