On behalf of our organising team, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Fethard-on-Sea single stage rally. I would like to acknowledge the support of the many sponsors, particularly Hotel Naomh Seosamh - headquarters for the rally - along with a special word of thanks to Hook Tourist Association. With a full entry list for the rally, we extend a special word of thanks to all competitors, especially those who have travelled long distances to be with us. To the officials, competitors and spectators, we hope you enjoy a great sporting and social occasion in Fethard-on-Sea. We must thank the many local residents who have given their permission to allow the rally to pass. Please respect their property and leave all areas litter free. The unsung heroes of rallying are the marshalls. They are there for your safety, so please obey their instructions as by doing so, we will all have a safe weekend. Sadly during the year our club has lost five valued members and friends. Their loss is particularly felt on occasions like these and our thoughts are with their families. Dick Bailey, Robert Kelly, Brian Byrne, Joe Stafford, Lorcan Caulfield. May they rest in peace. Finally, a special thank you to the Gardai, Wexford County Council, Civil Defence, Order of Malta, the media, South Eastern Health Board and all that helped in any way to make this event possible. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable weekend of motorsport.
