Most of the cars are still out on Stage 2 of the Fethard Rally, but there's a definite pattern developing at the sharp end. David James has recorded a time of 9:06 in the second stage - exactly the same time in which he covered the route first time round. John Nolan is the only other driver in so far, with a time eleven seconds slower. However, the Carlow man's 9:17 performance has shaved nine seconds of his opening stage time.
