As is par for the course for single stage rallies, the route is not revealed to the crews until a few hours beforehand, meaning no map of the course can be released until then. As the crews now know where they're going, so too can you. Here's the map! You can access it via a reduced version or a humungous version. And they're off! Top seed David James has thundered from the starting archway outside Hotel Naomh Seosamh in Fethard to get the 2002 Fethard-on-Sea Rally underway. A large crowd gathered outside the hotel to watch the 131-strong field depart en route to get a feel of the testing 10-mile course near Ramsgrange. The first stage officially gets underway at 12:30pm. Conditions remain dry, so the fear that most crews had last night of needing slicks has not come to pass.
