First things first - apologies for the resolution of the map, but in an effort to organise everything to perfection in the run-up to this big day, the printers decided a black-and-white map would be quicker, and more importantly, more efficient. So, to accompany the map, here's our guide to the best vantage points, and where it will all be happening. First, to the basics. The route starts on the Coolboy Road out of Newbawn - on the top right of your map - through Bryanstown, over to Mullenderry. An excellent vantage point can be seen here, which must be approached from Ballynatarsna, which on the centre bottom of the map. The route then heads north-west towards Ballygarvan, before taking a sharp southerly turn and then circling round through Gusserane village, back almost to Ballygarvan again. This area affords three fantastic viwing points - two of them accessed from the Newbawn end. Take the road to Kilgreaney, over Ballygarvan Bridge and then either go straight on or take a left - both of which will give excellent vantage points. The third ideal viewing location on this circle is the village of Gusserane itself - approach Gusserane from Dunmain crossroads. From Ballygarvan, the cars head north-west again, before turning sharply west in Nash. Here is another excellent viewing point, best approached through Ballinaboola, where you turn southwest at the junction right beside the Burmah service station. Follow this road to Cassagh - turn left at Cassagh, and carry on straight down to Nash. This westerly route from Nash brings the competitors to the stage end just before the Five-Road Cross in Knockboy. Just to think, after the cars do this once - they have to do it another two times!
