Good morning and a very merry Christmas rally fans from Rally HQ at Crosbie Cedars Hotel in Rosslare.

Perfect weather for rallying is the order of the day here, as the fleet of 130 head out to start the first of three timed runs over the 10-mile course which begins at Aughboy, and ends on the edge of Newbawn.

The stage bears many similarities to the route used in last month's Single Stage, but runs in the opposite direction.

Road conditions are dry, with the only possible hazard being the low angle of the December sun.

David James was the first competitor to depart Rally HQ this morning bang on 10am - the first time ever a Wexford Rally has had locals as the top two seeds, with Willie Carroll being hot on the heels of James.
